MY STORY
From Service to Supporting Others
1990s
Working with Children
My career began supporting children and families, where I quickly learned that helping children often begins by helping the adults raising them.
2000s
In my forties I returned to university to complete my Master’s in Clinical Counselling—a decision that reinforced my belief that it’s never too late to pursue meaningful work.
2012+
Private Practice
For more than twelve years I’ve helped individuals and couples navigate communication, conflict, anxiety, betrayal, grief and life transitions.
Today
Today I also serve as Chaplain with the Canadian Armed Forces and Oakville Fire Department, walking alongside people during some of life’s most difficult moments.
MY STORY
More Than a Therapist
I’m a husband of more than 29 years and a father. After many years in another career, I answered a deeper calling—helping individuals and couples build healthier relationships and more meaningful lives.
For over 12 years I’ve worked with hundreds of clients in private practice and in the community. I combine evidence-based therapy with practical coaching to help you move from where you are to where you want to be.
I believe in kind honesty, brave conversations, and real change. Life is complicated, but you don’t have to navigate it alone.

COMMON QUESTIONS
You Might Be Wondering
Therapy with me is relaxed, conversational, and practical. My goal is to create a space where you feel heard, understood, and challenged in healthy ways. I’ll listen carefully, ask thoughtful questions, offer new perspectives, and provide practical tools you can use between sessions. Whether we’re working through relationship struggles, anxiety, or life transitions, we’ll move forward together at a pace that feels right for you.
The first session is about getting to know you—not trying to solve everything at once. We’ll talk about what’s brought you here, explore what’s been happening in your life or relationship, and discuss what you hope will be different. By the end of the session, you’ll have a clearer understanding of how we can work together and what the next steps might look like.
Yes. I work with individuals, couples, and families navigating a wide range of challenges, including communication, conflict, anxiety, grief, betrayal, parenting, life transitions, and relationship growth. Every person and every relationship is unique, so our sessions are tailored to your specific goals and circumstances.
You don’t have to be in crisis to benefit from therapy. Many people come because they feel stuck, want healthier relationships, need support through a life transition, or simply want to understand themselves better. If there’s something in your life that’s keeping you from moving forward or becoming the person you want to be, therapy can be a valuable place to begin.
There isn’t a one-size-fits-all answer. Some people find that a handful of focused sessions helps them achieve their goals, while others appreciate ongoing support over a longer period of time. We’ll regularly check in on your progress and adjust our work together based on your needs—not an arbitrary timeline.
Yes. I offer secure online therapy for clients anywhere in Ontario, as well as in-person appointments in Mississauga and Oakville. Whether you prefer meeting face-to-face or from the comfort of your home, we’ll find an option that works best for you.
